I recently went to Bristol for two nights with my boyfriend so that we could do some shopping for our new flat. We stayed at The Clifton Hotel in an executive double room, it was very central only a 5 min walk to lots of shops and a 15 minute drive to Cabot Circus which was great! The room was lovely and spacious and had a deep bath which was great for relaxing after shopping til we dropped. The only downside as the free wifi is limited. Underneath the hotel is their resturant and bar called Racks, highly recommended even if you aren't staying at the hotel wonderful food and the interior is so nice has a traditional but also contemporary style. We only ate there once and had pulled pork sandwiches with fries.

Obviously the main shop we were interested in was IKEA as we don't have one locally. Got quite a few essentials for the flat like wine glasses, bathroom mirror, some clocks etc. We had a lovely couple of days shopping and eating out, even tried our first five guys. Five Guys is in Cabot Circus, it is an American chain so has that great diner feel interior, we both got a bacon cheese burger and fries which was delicious and they do unlimited drinks which is great value for money.

I was very disappointed with the Primark, It is three stories big and I could not find anything that caught my eye and ended up not even getting anything! This could just be because of Primarks stock at the moment not the bristol store itself.

Will definitely be returning to bristol again as it's not too far away to travel to and there is so much more choice of shops and resturants. Flat is coming along well and starting to feel like a home, still no internet so posts are still slow but fingers crossed back to normal soon!

Lots of love
