Hello lovelies, today is another bath bomb demo. I did not have my camera on me as I was at my mum's house visiting so sorry about the phone quality pictures! This is another christmas product which is quite clear because of the cute holy detail in the centre of it. I had never used one of these before and I loved it. The scent was nice and strong, but not too over powering and was lovely and colourful. There was so many different colours that it was creating wonderful patterns in the bath water. I was quite surprised that the bath water was not left with a bold colour but was instead a pastel pink. I did not mind the colour not being bright, but after the initial colours being so bold I was shocked to discover the bath water was quite a light colour. I would definitely re purchase this product really wish I stocked up now have to wait until December, only 11 months to go!

I hope that you enjoyed this post and stay tuned for more.

Hello lovelies, one of my worst habits is doing everything last minute so this year I need give myself a kick up the bum and get stuff done. A way to get stuff done and to meet deadlines is to stay organised. I have some good tips for you that help me and you may want to try out.

The first one is of course to own a Diary. I had an academic diary which started in 2015 but goes through to 2016 too. You can get diaries in most stores and some are so cheap! I got an A5 diary that has a week per page and notes on the other side. I love my diary as I can write down any uni work, deadlines or plans I have for the week. I also have a page of notes if I need to quickly write something I must not forget. Diaries are great to refer back to and help keep on track with dates etc.

Another thing to help you with dates is a calendar. You can get big yearly calendars, monthly ones and even on your phone. I think that the phone one is quite useful as you can set alarm reminders about things, however proper calendars are more visual and you can tick off the days as you go.

I also use week planners to help me arrange my meals. I write what I plan to have for breakfast, lunch and dinner and try my hardest to stick to it.

To go with my week meal planner I have a shopping list note pad. This allows me to write down all of the ingredients I shall need for the meals that I have planned for the week, meaning I shouldn't forget anything!

Lastly I used notebooks. I have always been a notebook lover, I have so many all for different things. I have a blog one, about two or three Uni ones and other general ones that I write things that I've brought to keep on top of spending etc.

I know most of these tips are very simple but it is hard to forget about them. I hope that these are useful to you and keep you motivated and on top of everything. Stay tuned for more.

Hey lovelies, today I have decided to share with you my skin care routine. My skin care routine has recently changed and I am really enjoying it so felt like sharing it with you. Before I was using the Clinique 3 step, which is brilliant I've used that for the past 5 years. I decided to try something new and slightly cheaper so I have looked into Boots No7. My routine includes their Cleansing water for oily skin, the melting cleansing gel for dry skin, their cleansing brush, the soft and soothed toner, the day cream for oily skin and the night cream for dry skin. As you can tell its all very mix and match of skin type as I have combination skin.

In the morning I shall start with my Simple eye makeup remover, just incase there is a tiny bit of mascara that I didn't manage to get off the night before. I then clean my face with the No7 cleansing water for oily skin on a cotton pad and then do the same with the soft and soothed toner. This ensures that my face is clean before I apply my moisturiser. I use the day cream for oily skin which moisturises, but leaves me far from shiny and oily and prevents it from happening throughout the day. This then creates the perfect base ready for my to apply my primer and foundation as normal.

In the evenings I firstly use the Simple eye makeup remover on a cotton pad. I usually have to use a couple of pads before all of my mascara is off. When removing the rest of my makeup I alternate my routine every other day. Although One day I shall repeat the mornings steps using the cleansing water and toner on a cotton pad, however will follow with the night cream for dry skin. On the next day I shall remove my makeup using my melting gel cleanser with my No7 Cleansing brush. This brush not only thoroughly cleans my face, but it also removes any dry/flaky skin. I use this every other day so that it is not too harsh on my skin. After using the brush I use my night cream for dry skin, which then keeps my skin nice and moisturised for the rest of the night and targets my dry areas.

I have been doing this skin care routine for about 3 weeks now and I am loving the way my skin is at the moment. I hope that you enjoyed this post and stay tuned for more.

Hello lovelies, today I have a Lush cosmetics bath bomb demo to show you. I can't believe how long its been since I did a bath bomb demo post! Luckily I got lots of bath bombs for christmas so look forward to more coming your way. This post is showing you the Golden Wonder, which is from their Christmas Range.

I love this bath bomb because of the bold colours that are hidden inside, which is so enjoyable to watch and leaves your bath with a bright green colour. The lustre leaves the water with a wonderful shimmer, but it does not leave you covered in unwanted glitter. These shots were taken for an advertising project at uni therefore I did actually use two golden wonders in this one bath, therefore the colour of the water might be slightly darker that usual.

I am pretty sure that the Golden Wonder is no longer available, however I am sure some of you lush fans stocked up on your christmas products. I hope that you enjoyed this post and stay tuned for more.

Hello lovelies, just a quick update to let you all know that I am getting organised and have decided that I am going to have set upload days a week that I aim to stick to. I really want to focus more on this blog as I love doing it so much. My posting days are going to be Mondays and Fridays.

You may have noticed that my blog has bit of a new look. I decided it was time for a change and I wanted something more visually appealing. I have also brought my domain as I feel it is so much easier to write www.highstreetstylist.co.uk rather than www.high-street-stylist.co.uk. I hope that you like the new look and stay tuned for more regular posts!

Hello lovelies, so today I have a Boots No7 Haul for you. I recently received the No7 Cleansing brush for christmas, which came in a gift set with their melting gel cleanser and their normal/dry skin night cream. I have been enjoying using this, but it is something that I would not use twice a day. I therefore needed something to use in the mornings and some evenings that I do not want to use the brush, to cleanse and tone my face. I usually use the Clinique 3 step type 3 for combination skin.

As I have combination skin and already owned two products that help target the dry parts for my skin, I decided to get the cleansing water for oily skin types to help target the oily areas of my skin. I also got the soothed and smooth toner to get those little bits of make up or dirt that the cleansing water may have left behind. I then got the day cream for oily skin types, which I hope with moisturise me but not too much that leads me to being oily.

I recently went to do my make up the other day and discovered that my foundation had run out. I have been using the same one for a while now and decided that now I have proper skin care products maybe I should get a better foundation too. My biggest issue when it comes to choosing foundations is knowing what shade to get. I had seen that No7 did a matching service and thought I would give it a go. I asked one of the consultants about it and she told me to sit down and asked me some questions to discover my skin type. I ended up having my face cleansed which was super relaxing and meant that my skin was then clean for them to use their matching device. The device takes pictures of your skin and discovers the tones of your skin and which foundation colours would match you best. Blu then tried out the foundation that was best for me on my skin which allowed me to see what it really does look like. As I like a good coverage I got beautifully matte, as it is for normal/oily skin and has a medium/full coverage. I also got the Instant Radiance Under Eye Concealer as I really liked the way it looked when Blu used it on me.

I look forward to using all of these products and if they work well you may see a skin care routine coming up soon! Stay tuned for more.

Hello lovelies so 2016 is here! which means christmas is over sad times. I wanted to look back at things that I experienced and learnt during 2015. Not much started at the start of the year until my birthday in March.

It was my 19th birthday which I celebrated with friends and family and spent a weekend away with my boyfriend in London. Our London trip was amazing and I would love to go back! There is so much to do there and always something going on that its hard to fit it all into a weekend. One of the highlights was when we accidently ended up at the Cinderella Premiere and I got to see Rhiannon Ashlee (Fashionrocksmysocks) and Richard Madden and other celebs on the red carpet.

In June I finished my two year college course of studying photography, which meant we got to put up an exhibition of our final major projects as party of the colleges summer show. Was a lovely way to end the course!

This year I experienced go karting for the first time when my family, my boyfriend and I went to exeter. It was really scary at first but after a few laps I got more confident and it was really fun. I came last every time with the least amount of laps but oh well always next time haha!

I got to see the amazing Derren Brown for the second time and definitely was not disappointed! Joe and I were only four rows back from the front and you can see us in Derrens Selfie that he posted on Twitter. I'm four back and three in. This was Joes 4th of 5th time seeing him, he's a big fan.

In August my family and I went on a weeks holiday in Majorca. It was so nice to chill out for a week relaxing in the sun and swimming in the warm sea. We also hired an open top Jeep for a day and drove around some really cool mountains/hills, but it was super hot and the wind felt like a hair dryer blowing in your face constantly.

We were originally suppossed to see Foo Fighters in June, but Dave went and broken his leg and it got cancelled. As he's such a nice guy he came back to the UK in September and did what he called 'the broken leg tour' His throne that he sat on was really cool, it was made with guitars, had a smoke machine and was designed whilst he was off his head on medication. It was an amazing night.

Also in September was my cousins wedding and a beautiful wedding it was. I loved getting to see all of the family as we don't get to very often.

End of September is when I moved into my new flat and started my Commercial Photography Degree. Had a few issues with my flat that are still occurring which is annoying, but I do still love it lots. Enjoying my course as I am back with my friends from my course before and I like our current projects.

I love halloween always one of my favourite times of the year. I love dressing up and getting crafty and this year Joe's family went all out on the decorations which I really enjoyed helping with. It was a really successful night as everyone looked great and really enjoyed themselves.

This year there was a lot of festiveness, family gatherings, decorations, parties etc. We even built a grotto in our living room. if that isn't christmas crazy I don't know what is haha. I got to see lots of family this month as we planned a huge family christmas dinner on my mums side and I also had a christmas party/dinner with my dad and some of his side. We also held a mulled wine and mince pies night, my mum and I baked and cooked all of the treats. Then theres christmas day, which was lovely, I ended up visiting four different locations that day so I was very busy trying to see everyone haha. I was spoilt and am extremely grateful for everything that I received however I am more pleased that people liked the presents that I picked for them.

I did lots of other things throughout the year such as go for nice meals and drinks with my friends, cuddled my cat ALOT,  watched way too many YouTube videos (that's a lie you can't get too much YouTube), took lots of photos and made so many memories.

I hope that this year is just as fun and I make lots of new memories with my friends and family and hope that you all have a brilliant year ahead!

Lots of love
