As it is definitely now Autumn and we are fast approaching winter it calls for some new clothes. Here I have created a collage of some items from my current autumn fashion wish list. These are all items I've spotted whilst browsing the web and shops and have been wanting ever since.

As you can see I have gone for very autumnal tones such as reds, greens, blacks, browns and greys. I really like incorporating the red and green tones into outfits in the winter, as it adds that pop of colour without being too bold and stops your outfit looking too dull. Even in winter I mainly wear dresses, but stay warm by pairing them with tights or leggins and layering up with jackets and coats etc.

Velvet and embroidery are very on trend at the moment which is why some of these really stood out to me. I love the embroidery on the backpack as it is so simple, yet effective. It creates a lovely feature but as the bag is still only monochrome it isn't bold enough to clash with your outfits and will still go with most things. I also love the velvet bomber jacket, as velvet can make anything casual suddenly feel smart, therefore you could wear this day or night.

I absolutely love the River Island jacket as it has all of the essential tones running through it, meaning that it will go with any colour bag or shoe. It is also made out of a lightweight material and has a loose fit, meaning you will be warm in it as it will keep off the breeze, but also is cool enough when you are on the go rushing around or inside.

Of course the shoe I featured had to be a boot, which are a must have in winter. Boots are great for protecting your feet from the rain and still looking stylish. This style of boot has a little heel so is great for both day and night wear.

I shall definitely be saving up for some of these as I think they will become staples in my Autumn/Winter wardrobe.

1.Black Embroidered Back Pack - River Island £32.00
2. Green Sateen Floral Print Wrap Front Dress - New Look £22.99
3. Pale Grey Floral Embroidered Funnel Neck Sweater - New Look £24.99
4. Black Contrast Chunky Ankle Boots - New Look £27.99
5. Cream Check Zip Turtleneck Shacket - River Island £55
6. Black Floral Print Dress - New Look £29.99
7. Lace-Up Dress in Aubergine - Forever 21 £15
8. Ribbed Jumper - H&M £7.99
9. Black Velvet Bomber Jacket - New Look £26.24 (on offer)

I hope that you liked this post and stay tuned for more to come!

At the Boots blogger event we were also introduced to the new boots emporium. The emporium is a new service that helps you buy the perfect gifts that have a personal touch. The first part we were introduced to was the luxury beauty gift boxes. I love this idea as you get to pick a box and then select three high end products all just for £25. Which is a great deal for the products you get to choose from as the contents are definitely worth more. This reminds me of like a build your own birch box.

Another service is the makeup obsession customisable palettes. I think this is a great idea as you get to choose the size of the palette and then fill it with the exact products that you want. You can even mix and match eyeshadows with blushers, bronzers and strobe creams. You always get the odd couple of colours that you never end up using in an eyeshadow palette, whereas you'll get full use out of these as you picked them!

The next area is not quite ready yet, but coming soon is the print your own makeup bags. This will be a self serve service like for photos, where you can plug in your phone and upload the image you want to print and there will be a nine day turn around when you can then come and collect your finished makeup bag. Whilst we wait they do have some ready made ones with cute designs on and they can still be personalized with an engraving detail for free. Stay tuned as hopefully this service will be available soon.

Next we were introduced to the exciting part, the engraving service! This is where you can have any glass, plastic or wood products from boots engraved. This is great for things such as perfume bottles, makeup brushes, palettes etc. You can have any name or phrase, which you will discuss with a member of staff and choose the exact size and position of the message you want on the product. You could add Happy Birthday, Merry Christmas or even 'will you marry me?' to your chosen gift. You can choose the colour of the writing too by either leaving it clear or picking from black, white, silver or gold. No matter the size or how many characters it is just a one of payment of £3 which I think is amazing. This service is here to stay too, it isn't just for christmas so will be great for birthdays, mothers and fathers days etc. There is only so many Mum mugs you can buy every year, why not get her favourite perfume and add 'thanks for everything' or 'love you mum' etc. It is also a really quick process so is great for those last minute presents. The best part is you do not have to get the engraving done then and there. If you buy something, go home and decide you want it done, you can go back to the store with your receipt to prove it is a boots purchase and can then have it engraved.

The emporium also do gift boxes and personalized ribbons for any gifts so even if you buy something that can't be engraved it can still have that personal touch.

Whilst I was here I wanted to take advantage of the service and got my blog name on a perfume bottle. I went with silver text as I felt it went best with the design. This is a service definitely worth checking out!

It was recently one of my local Boots store's 10th birthday and to celebrate they invited a few bloggers to come along and set up a sweet little party table for us. It had cupcakes and even Prosecco accompanied by a lovely variety of beauty products. I was really excited as this was the first time I had seen a lot of the new christmas gift sets and we got to test them out.

My favourite gift sets had to be the Benefit and Smash box ones. The Benefit ones always catch my eye first due to their bold and playful packaging! They also were filled with some of their most popular products so great for those that are either new to Benefit products and what to try everything or the ultimate Benefit fan. I also loved the smash box gift sets as it had everything in, a lip palette, contour and eyeshadow palette, what more do you need? all great sizes for your handbag and taking away too. the pigmentation of the eyeshadows were so nice, I loved the coral shade. The single product that really stood out to me the most was the Bare Minerals Be Beautiful Palette, this palette had face powders, eyeshadows and a few blushes and bronzers. I thought this would be brilliant for taking away as it has all the essentials in one palette. Plus the colours were perfect for Autumn.

I had looked at a NYX counter before since its come to our boots store but never had time to have a proper look so I was really excited to try out a few of their products. I was really impressed by the quality considering the reasonable prices! I ended up buying a blue roll on glitter as I thought this would be great to use for my halloween makeup (coming soon).

Another thing we were introduced to was the new beautiful you skin consultation service. I decided to have a skin consultation so will be posting a separate in depth description and review in another post, but I shall briefly explain what it is now. It is a non biased skin consultation where you will speak to a member of staff about your skin and they will help you find out your skin type and can work out what products, throughout the whole of the store, best suit your skin. Due to their equipment and skincare knowledge they can give you quite accurate results and an honest opinion. As this helps you look for the products across the whole store they are not biased to try and sell you a product just from one brand and are all for helping you, not just selling you a product. The service is completely free and you do not feel left like you have to buy anything at the end. The service allows you to leave happy and fully of lots of useful information. You also get sent all of the information you have learnt during your consultation via email, which is really useful to refer back to!

I had a great day at the bloggers event, we also were introduced to their new Emporium service, post coming next. Stay tuned for more posts every Monday and Friday.

So it is officially October, which of course means one thing HALLOWEEN! I absolutely love halloween as I love dressing up, make up, decorations and of course sweets. As it is October my blog posts this month are going to be halloween themed, but there will also be the occasional normal post if halloween isn't your thing. This post is to give you an idea of what posts you can look forward to this month.

I am going to be doing a few halloween makeup posts either individually or a post featuring multiple looks. Last year I did a Halloween cupcakes post (pictured above) and definitely want to do another Halloween treats kind of post and some halloween cocktail recipes. I also might be doing a couple of DIY decorations for the perfect halloween party.

For those who do not like halloween I also have an autumn fashion wish list and few a other surprises coming up. I did not do a September favourites as they were all pretty much the same as the month before. I hope you are all as excited for Autumn as I am and stay tuned for all the fun posts that will be coming soon!

As I have quite long and thick hair I always dread having to wash my hair as I know after I am going to have to dry it. I also cannot let my hair naturally dry as it just doesn't happen. One time it had been over 24 hours and a lot of my hair was still wet! Also as my roots are 'virgin' hair and quite healthy it tends to get greasy quite quickly, therefore blow drying it is essential. Letting it naturally dry sometimes makes my hair greasy before it's even had a chance to fully dry. Using a hair dryer usually takes me at least 45 minutes up to an hour just to dry my hair. This drives me mad especially if I want to also style it afterwards.

I had planned on getting some GHD straighteners, so whilst on the website the hair dryers caught my eye. They stated that they reduce the amount of drying time compared to a normal hair dryer. I looked at quite a few reviews and most said that they were definitely worth the money. I was getting a bit of extra money coming in that month so I thought why not give them a go! I have had the hair dryer for a few months now and thought why not give it a review.

What product is it and what comes in the box?
I ordered the GHD Air professional hair drying kit. The box contains the hair dryer, two sectioning clips, a vented brush, a diffuser and a protective bag.

I honestly cannot praise this hair dryer enough. It really has reduced my drying time to 30 minutes even if I don't have it on the hottest setting. It also came with a GHD brush to go with it, which allows me to create a blow dry look at home. This hair dryer has a beautiful design especially the back where the air travels through. It has a very sleek design over all. It has a nice long cord which doesn't leave you to restricted to being sat right next to the plug. The sectioning slips are really handy to have, especially when you want to dry your hair in sections. The attachment allows for direct flow of the heat which creates a smoother finish when drying with a barrel brush. I am yet to use the diffuser, therefore I cannot comment on this attachment. I cannot fault this hair dryer at all and I am over the moon with my purchase. As I said I have had this for a few months now and I do not think I could ever go back to a normal hair dryer from now on.

I ordered directly from the GHD online store here as you can never be too safe with all of the fake products that can be sold on websites. You can also get them in selected hairdressers. If you are thinking of getting one I highly recommend you just go for it as I did and do not regret it one bit!

I hope you enjoyed this review and stay tuned for more posts every monday and friday.

This post is all about some new desk storage I have brought to allow me to make my desk a more organised workspace.

The first bits I got were the two IKEA plant pots as they are really cute and perfect sizes for storing all of my pens, pencils etc in. They are just the right height as I like that you can see a little bit of the pens pop out as it adds a small splash of colour. Available here.

I also recently brought a copper metal mesh desk tidy which allows me to store my main pens (that I am always loosing) Post it notes, glue and some decorative tape! This is also somewhere you could store paper clips, pins, staples etc. but I do not really use any of those. This is from Wilko, available here.

In the same range as the desk tidy I also brought the magazine file, which is extremely handy as I am always buying magazines and I can keep my most recent ones close to me. This is too from Wilko and available here.

Also matching I brought two stackable paper trays. I will be storing my printer paper in here, but at the moment I have been storing my notebooks in it, as I have so many and it looks neater keeping them in there and they are reachable. Available here.

I also have a copper basket stored under my desk with more magazines that may not be too recent, but good to keep for collages and research.

The best bit of storage in my office is definitely my IKEA Alex drawers! These are a life saver. Being a very arty person, who seems to collect arts and craft and stationary I was forever struggling to store it. It would all be spread out in different places, but these drawers have allowed me to house everything in one easy and accessible place. I shall do a separate post all about my Alex drawers and how I organise my art stuff. Available here.

I have two drawers built into my desk and these mainly house bits and bobs that haven't found a home, such as spare notebooks, camera equipment, wires and anything else I want to hide away to avoid it looking messy.

These might seem like really simple ways to organise your desk but honestly pen pots and paper trays honestly make such a difference when it comes to finding things! It allows you to separate colouring pencils and felt tips, old and new magazines etc. Also if everything has it's own place you are more likely to put it back into that place, rather than just dump it on your desk. If my desk is tidy and looks aesthetically pleasing I am more likely to sit at it and get on with something as it looks more inviting. Whether you have a big or small desk space it is good to keep it organised.

Please stay tuned for most posts every monday and friday!

Today I have for you a beauty haul of a couple of make up related pieces that I have brought collectively over the last month or so.

You may have already seen my MAC lipstick in the shade Twig in my August favourites as I haven't been able to stop wearing this since I purchased it last month. Available here.

As we are talking about lips the next two products I have brought are the Sleek Matte Me Lipglosses. I was recommended trying these out as my friend has a few and they are much cheaper alternatives to Kylie Jenners Lip kits. I have not had a chance to try these out properly yet but I am looking forward to! Available here.

The next product I got was the Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Even Finish Foundation. I did not actually go out and plan to buy this I actually brought it off of my cousin who brought a shade that does not suit her skin and it did however go with mine whilst I have a tan. I did therefore get this discounted due to being second hand. Available here.

The next three things I brought together. We don't have anywhere locally that sells Urban Decay and whilst we were in Milton Keynes seeing family I just had to visit the Urban Decay counter in Debenhams!

I originally set out just to buy the Eyeshadow Primer Potion (as my testers that came with my naked palette finally run out) however I remembered my cousin telling me I just had to try their Make Up Setting Spray. I struggle with combination skin therefore throughout the day my foundation can separate and not sit well on the skin so I thought I may as well give it a go. Due to the oiliness I get towards the end of the day I also spotted the De-Slick powder. This is mattifying powder, which is translucent and allows you to eliminate oiliness without having to reapply all of your makeup. Here are the links to.. Primer Potion. Make Up Setting Spray. De-Slick Mattifying Powder.

I hope you liked this mini haul I am sure you shall see these products coming up again in future makeup and hopefully even favourite posts! Stay tuned for more posts every Monday and Friday.

I recently purchased this longline bomber jacket and have not been able to stop wearing it since! It just goes with everything and definitely is perfect for the transition into AW16. My favourite thing about this jacket is the fabric. The fabric is nice and thin therefore is still quite cool for when its really humid, yet it is thick enough to keep you warm and keep the chill off of you as it gets colder as we go into winter. I love this jacket so much I'm tempted to also buy it in the khaki green. At the moment there is a sporty style trend and I feel this outfit is quite sporty for me. I paired the jacket with a Firoelli back pack and some floral Addidas trainers, which sort of match my shirt dress. This is definitely my current go to outfit for casual days shopping or going for lunch as it is just so comfortable.

Longline Bomber Jacket : New Look
Shirt Dress: New Look
Leggins : Sainsburys
Firoelli Bag : TKMaxx
Addidas Trainers :  Deichmann

In October I shall be starting my second year of degree which means only one thing? New stationary! I absolutely love stationary and anything crafty so I always look forward to getting new bits and bobs. As I do an art based degree we get to present our work in sketchbooks therefore I definitely needed to get a new one of these so that I could get started with some work.

I firstly spotted the gorgeous Leaf pattern one as I fell in love with the print. It is slightly smaller than the normal sketchbook I use but I love the print so much that I'll find a use for it! It is from Paperchase and was £10.00.

I then spotted this bigger sketchbook that had simple yet effective gold polkadots on it. I think this one is a lot more suitable for my Uni work as the print is slightly less distracting, but still looks nice. It is also 15x15 which is a more suitable size as it will fit A4 pictures in it. This was also from Paperchase and was £14.00.

I also brought this wonderful white and gold notebook that has the quote 'be joyful' on the front. This is a really good sized notebook and is full of pages allowing me to take an endless amount of notes! TKMaxx £4.99.

Off course you can't start any school/uni year without and academic diary! Am I the only person who always buys one of these and three or four months down the line I realise I haven't written in it for ages and end up completely forgetting about it? no just me?.. I loved the pattern on this as I liked the colours and the print. This specific diary caught my eye the most though due to its size, it is very thin, which I wanted so it did not take up too much room in my bag! This was £2.00 from Wilko.

I then of course had to get a little pencil case as I am constantly loosing all of my pens and i hoped that this would solve the problem. I picked up this cute metal one as I liked the pattern and again because it was quite small and slim compared to some chunky pencil cases. This was £1.00 from Wilko.

I also brought a few bits such as decorative tape, speech bubble post it notes and label tags. These are all easy and effective ways to decorate your sketchbooks! The post it notes and label tags are good for annotation and the tape can border or highlight important areas. The tape was £3.50 from IKEA and the post it notes and decorative tags were from Wilko.

I could have gone mad and brought every colour of felt tip and highlighter, but I managed to stop myself as I know I already have some from previous years of back to school/uni shopping!

I hope that you are all looking forward to going back to school/college or uni! Stay tuned for more posts every monday and friday!
Rachel.
